Park Rapids Schools is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Maintenance Custodian at Park Rapids High School. This full-time position is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
- Ensure all facilities are properly stocked with necessary supplies, including soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
- Conduct regular inspections of school facilities to identify maintenance needs and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in setting up and taking down furniture and equipment for school events, meetings, and activities.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on school property, including light fixtures, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Respond to emergency cleaning and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other custodial and maintenance staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning and maintenance activities as required.
- Foster a positive and respectful environment through effective communication with students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work is desirable but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery and tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Background check and clearance may be required prior to employment.
