Laurentian Lakes Chapter of the North Country Trail Association Sets Hike Dates

The Laurentian Lakes Chapter of the North Country Trail Association has several great events coming up.
March 4 - Snowshoe in Tamarac
Snowshoe 2 miles on Discovery Loop. Meet at Visitor Center Parking lot at 1 PM.
May 19 - Hike the North Country Trail in Maplewood State Park
Hike is 3 miles. Meet at MN State Technical College East parking lot in Detroit Lakes at 9 AM to carpool or at the entrance of Maplewood at 10 AM.
June 2 - National Trails Day: Lunch and Trail Adopter Training
Meet at the Discovery Center in Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge at noon.
June 23 - Lady Slipper Hike
Bower Trail at Itasca State Park, meet at Douglas Lodge 10:30 AM
July 28 - Frazee History Hike/Frazee Turkey Days: Learn the history and hike the city miles in Frazee.
Meet at the Lions Park near the Big Turkey at 10 AM
August 11 - Fence Stiles Hike: Check out the 4 stiles on this section of hike. Out and back 3.2 miles through south part of Hubbel Pond and across a private land owner's property.
Meet at HWY 34 at 9 AM.
August 25 - 13th Annual Hiking Fest at Itasca State Park
September 8 - Early Fall Hike: 113 to Elbow Lake Rd 4.8 miles
Meet at Elbow Lake at 9 AM
September 22 - North Country National Scenic Trail Day
Hike with Dakota Prairie Chapter in ND
September 29 - End of Season Hike and Get-together with Itasca Moraine Chapter
Get together afterwards at Portage Brewing in Walker.
October 13 - Autumn Hike in Itasca State Park
Meet at the Brower Visitor Center at 12:30
