CHI St. Joseph’s Health Auxiliary Passion for Fashion Style Show

May 31, 2018
Dazzling clothing, a delightful dinner and drawings for door prizes will engage the audience arriving for this summer’s Passion for Fashion, to be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 13 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Park Rapids.

Hosted by CHI St. Joseph’s Health Auxiliary, the event will feature an array of fine and funky fashions with area merchants sending models out on the walkway to stir wardrobe imaginations.

Area retail shops presenting fashions include The Shoppe on Pleasant, Amish Oak, Cabin Up North, Lazy One, Rust to Roses, Tiger Lily’s Boutique of Walker, Wildwood Enchantment, Christopher & Banks and Meadowbrook of Dorset

This is one of many volunteer fundraising initiatives hosted by the 70-member auxiliary in support of CHI St. Joseph’s Health. Last year, members donated 6,396 hours sharing their time and talents.

Since its inception in 1947, the auxiliary has raised and donated over $1 million dollars in support of programs and services at CHI St. Joseph’s Health, including: orthopedic equipment, cardiac rehabilitation telemetry system, stretchers, beds, remodeling, Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery Program and more.
Last year the hospital gift shop, staffed by volunteers, donated The Shoppe on Pleasant’s $28,852 net proceeds to the auxiliary who in turn supported several hospital initiatives with these proceeds.

Auxiliary membership is open to anyone interested in making a difference in the lives of people residing in our communities. Seasonal residents are welcome to volunteer.
The auxiliary executive committee meets monthly and guides the endeavors of the auxiliary groups. Each of the three auxiliary groups meets monthly.

Watch for the Festival of Tables in August. Stay tuned for the Sweets, Treats & Treasures in December. A chicken dinner will be dished up in January.
