Be a Part of the ACTION May 3rd

April 13, 2018
ACTION Park Rapids Lakes Area is a community group gaining momentum 90 days at a time.  Every three months the group meets to update each other and start new ninety-day plans.  These work sessions bring businesses, nonprofits and area clubs together to work towards goals in 8 key areas: Education, Health, Youth, Seniors, Business, Volunteers, The Arts and Basic Needs.  Everyone is welcome, bring your ideas big and small!

The collaborative atmosphere of ACTION Park Rapids has led to progress in many key areas.  Many 90 day plans have been developed including; community ACES training, developing a volunteer website and the 2017 Summer Reading Program.  The Community Career Collaboration Coordinator position at Park Rapids High School, completion of the Hubbard County Recreation Plan and the beginnings of a Sculpture Walk in Red Bridge Park have all hit significant milestones since the work session in February.

The day starts with coffee and a short introduction, then project leaders let everyone know how their plans are going.  After the updates, groups evaluate, brainstorm and plan toward new 90 day goals.  Everyone chooses for themselves which topic they work on in the breakout sessions.  The day should wrap up around 1 pm.

The next ACTION Park Rapids Lakes Area 90 Day work session is Thursday, May 3 at the Park Rapids American Legion.  Register here for free.  Coffee is on at 8:30, announcements and project updates start at 9.  Lunch will be provided.  Get involved now and move into the future with ACTION Park Rapids.
