Established in 1919, the League of Women Voters Minnesota is one of the state’s most respected grassroots organizations. The League of Women Voters strives to strengthen our democracy by increasing voter participation, exploring public policy from many points of view, and taking action on issues affecting our families and communities. The LWV of the Park Rapids Area, organized in 2000, may be best known for sponsoring candidate forums in election years, but also invests time and resources in registering voters and sponsoring public programs on a wide range of topics relevant to our community.
Men and women members of LWV are of all ages, political affiliations, occupations and backgrounds. The League of Women Voters Minnesota is a 501(c)3 political organization. LWV does not endorse candidates for public office or political parties.
