About Us

Knotty Pines resort is a family resort located on the south shore of crystal clear Boulder Lake, 4 miles west of Nevis, MN, and 7 1/2 miles east of Park Rapids, MN. We have 11 CLEAN modern cabins including a reunion cabin option, most with knotty pine interior and well spaced for privacy.

We are just 2 miles from the fabulous family friendly restaurants (American, Mexican and Italian food) of Dorset. Heartland Trail is 1/2 mile from us for hiking and biking. Great sandy beach and playground. Canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, hydro paddlers for children, water mat (Lily Pad) and a swim raft.

Most cabins have their own fire pit. Others have one nearby.

We have an active eagles nest on the lake and our lake is home to 3 families of loons. Our lake has Crappies, Sunfish, Perch, Walleye, Bass and Northerns. We rent boats and motors and pontoons, have 2 fishing piers and dock space available if you bring your own boat.
