1st Annual Park Rapids “Awaken From Hibernation” Tennis Tournament

June 30 – July 2, 2023

Location: Park Rapids Area Century School Courts (south of the school)

501 Helten Ave, Park Rapids, MN 56470

Events: Mixed Doubles

Singles: 15U boys, 15U girls, Open men, Open women
Doubles: 15U boys, 15U girls, Open men, Open women
Entry Fee: Singles: $30/player per event; Doubles $40/team per event
Format: Each player/team will get a minimum of two matches. Singles will be
2 out of 3 sets with a 10-point tiebreaker in place of the 3 rd set if tied
at one set a piece. No-add scoring until the semi-finals and finals
when regular scoring resumes (championship and consolation).
DOUBLES will be a ten-game pro-set, with no-add scoring until semi-
finals and finals (championship and consolation) when regular
scoring resumes. **Tournament director may shorten match lengths
as necessary dependent upon forecast**
Tennis balls: Tennis balls will be furnished for all matches.
T-shirts: All entrants will receive a T-shirt. Please enter your requested size on

the entry form. We will do our best to accommodate.

Schedule: Tournament Matches may start as early as 4 pm on Friday, June 30 th .
Match play will continue on Saturday, July 1 st and conclude on
Sunday, July 2 nd .

Awards: Awards will be given for the champion, runner-up, and consolation

champion

Deadline: Entries must be received by Monday, June 26th .

I hereby apply to enter the 2023 Park Rapids Awaken from Hibernation Tennis Tournament. In
consideration of my acceptance as a participant, I, the undersigned intending to be legally
bound, do hereby, for myself, my heirs, my executors, and administrators, forever waive &
release any & all rights & claims for damage against the Park Rapids Tennis Club, the City of
Park Rapids, District #309 Community Education, event sponsors, or any agent, employee
official or elected officer of these organizations and any sponsoring or co-sponsoring agencies,
for any & all injuries, illness and/or property loss which I may suffer as a direct or indirect result
of my participation in the event.
