All vehicles entering a state park must display a valid year-round or one-day Minnesota state park vehicle permit. Purchase vehicle permits online or at the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center, open 9-6 PM daily.
Description
Happy Birthday, Smokey Bear! Smokey Bear turns 80 this year, and it's time to celebrate! You are invited to this fun, family friendly, come-and-go event with many activities for all ages! Meet Smokey Bear and join wildland fire fighters as they share their experiences with fire in the forest. Learn how fire affects the forest, check out fire trucks and equipment, try getting into a fire shelter, and much more.
The Friends of Itasca State Park volunteer group will be serving Smokey Bear birthday cake at this event.
