DESCRIPTION:Menahga School\n\n\n\nA salute to area veterans will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday\, Nov. 8 in the Menahga High School gym.\n\nThe public is invited to attend the event\, which will pay tribute to veterans who have served during peacetime or non-combat times.\n\nMenahga VFW Post #6206 Color Guard and the Park Rapids Area Marine Corps League will present the colors.\n\n \n\nBoth the Menahga High School band and choir will perform patriotic salutes\, along with the fifth grade choir.\n\nThe program will feature speakers Major Julia Livingston and Staff Sergeant Levi Tormanen.\n\nA Veterans Day poem will be presented by Dan Besonen as a tribute to the armed forces. Patriot's Pen Essay Contest winner Julia Lake and Voice of Democracy Audio Essay Contest winner Isabelle Aho will be recognized.\n\nCoffee and rolls will be served at the Menahga VFW following the program.
