DESCRIPTION:The community is invited to partner with Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity for our Hard Hat event on April 11\, 2024\, at The Armory Arts & Event Center in Park Rapids. This event provides transformational engagement for employees while making a lasting impact in our community. Together\, we can make this community a place where more families have a decent place to live.\n\n \n\nToday\, as we begin construction with our 9th family\, Josie's family\, we find ourselves facing new challenges\, including rising construction costs and increased demand for affordable housing. We need to fund at least 70% of this home before we can even break ground. The estimated cost for the house is $160\,000.\n\n \n\nOur organization has partnered with 8 families throughout Hubbard County who now have a stable and affordable home. Each of these builds were made possible through the unwavering support of community members like you.
